The pleasant climate of Istria is just another aspect of ensuring ideal circumstances for exploration and pleasure.
The climate in the Slovenian Istria is pleasant and healthy: Mediterranean – submediterranean, meaning long, hot and dry summers, temperate winters and winds like the northeast wind, southeast wind and the sea breeze blowing from the southwest.
During the winter, cold air occasionally changes the Mediterranean into a submediterranean climate. The sun shines 2400 hours per year. The average temperatures during the day are around 5 – 10 °C in January and 25 – 30 °C in July. The sea is at its coldest in February (8 °C) and warmest in August (25 °C). There is more rainfall in the autumn. Precipitation is around 1100 mm of rain per year.

For more information about the weather refer to the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.
