The small chapel of St. Catherine is located near the edge of Istranova, in the direction towards the Nova vas village. St. Catherine is the patron saint of young girls, youth in general, librarians, philosophers, lawyers, scholars, scientists and all professions dealing with wheels or knives: wheelwrights, potters, millers, spinners, ropemakers, shipwrights, tanners, hairdressers, cloth merchants, printers, shoemakers and seamstresses, and so on. She is called upon in cases of migraines, diseases of the tongue, in order to find the drowned and for a happy death; she is one of the 14 intercessors in the time of need.
In order for St. Catherine to hear your requests better and grant them, ring the small chapel bell three times. Attention: too much ringing angers Catherine and the people of Istranova!
